Dominican Andullo Curing

If your andullo/carotte is well compressed you can leave it alone, but if you feel there are some soft/empty spots it might mold.
The safest way would be to re-roll it tighter, and repeat until there are no soft spot.
Green leaves loose a lot of their volume while drying.

I unwrapped it. Left it over night. It got darker. I rewrapped it and it was smaller.

Going for wrap number three. The last stick got goopy and swelled like the first. I unwrapped it, let it sit out for a couple days to dry and oxidize.

Here's the andullo now. No mold. Still wet enough that you would expect it. Smell, pungent, uhhh, floral?, sour?

For my poor knowledge I can confirm wath Charly write. It's 3 years that I made the same sort of "carotte" with suckers and late leafs and the trick is to roll as thight as one can (I made little diameters carotte and so the pressure is bigger) and after a few days unroll and tight again. So all the air is squeez out and ..... "No air? No mold!" After two or three cycles ther is no need to unroll again as the carotte is hard as a rock.

Do you mean just un roll the fabric or did u un roll the tobacco as well? I've only been unrolling the fabric on mine

This is also true of the FTT forum. Active members sometimes hang around like river stones, but many members just flow through, like all of life. @ciennepi last visited the forum 3 years ago.
