First year growing PA broadleaf and PA red, in searching the forums I didn’t see a lot about these tobaccos. Does anyway have any tips? Planning on using for cigars. Since it’s a stronger leaf should I ferment 6-8 weeks? Lancaster Leaf tobacco company out of Lancaster, PA claims they do a two step or double fermentation process in a recent YouTube video I saw. After the kiln fermentation they let rest for so many weeks and then stack in wooden crates and age/ ferment again under pressure for 4-6 months. The whole process takes a year.
