Going away for a week mid towel curing.. help

Hi folks, I’m back! I didn’t do a grow log this year, but I’m still growing and still loving this forum for all the help along the way.


I’ve got a bit of a conundrum.


I’m going away next week for a week. My first primings are right on schedule with towel curing—they’re all either yellow or already brown. The plan is to hang them indoors on Monday before I leave on Tuesday.


My second primings, though, are taking longer to turn yellow in the towel, and I’m worried about leaving them in towels for a week without being able to rearrange the pile.


Without any humidity control, what’s the best way to manage this? I’m nervous about leaving them in towels unattended, but I’m also worried that hanging them too early will leave them drying yellow/green and unevenly.


I’m thinking either:

• Leave them in towels with paper/tissue between them to absorb excess moisture, or
• Hang them and hope there’s enough humidity from the rest of the leaves to let them cure properly.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

BTDT- hang them.
Even with paper or something in between them to absorb moisture, the moisture will stay to close to the leaves, and they will mold, and rot.
Even stalk curing requires air movement in closed rooms- I lost most of my last year’s crop to mold when someone unplugged the circulation fan when I was gone.
