Am just getting started sprouting seeds for this year. First seeds to sprout this go round are YTB.



Am also trying for PA Red, Staghorn, Goose Creek Red, Little Dutch, and Comstock Spanish.

So far, so good. These will go into the ground, maybe a few in pots, in the next week or so. Depends on the weather.

Got several into the ground now. Some in raised beds, others in amongst other herbs and flowers, and also some in pots. And also here's a view of some of our seasonal veg. Cheers!

Been gone a few weeks. Had cataract surgery. Both eyes. Was a real PITA trying to read and type until after the second eye was done. Won't have new glasses for a few more weeks, but already am seeing better than before.

Here's what the plants in my raised beds looked like a couple weeks ago, May 25, 2026.


Here's what they looked like today, June 7, 2026, before the rains began again.


You can see in the top right bed that I lost one. It rotted from all the rain. And in the bottom right bed one of those isn't doing great. Hopefully it'll put on a sucker and grow on up.

We had a good garlic harvest this year. 4 varieties, 72 heads total.

Looking good! Also, in my experience "Little" Dutch is a misnomer. Mine got up to 8'.

Here we go. Lowest yellow twist bud leaves harvested and drying. The plants went into the ground first week of May.

Are you the first in the forum to grow Goose Creek Red and Staghorn side by side? I remember a discussion about it, but neither the impetus or the conclusion.
I hope your Comstock Spanish yeilds many wrapper grade leaves, it's sweet and delicious.

I don't know. Someone whose been here longer than I have will have to answer that one.
