Baccy harvest wrapped up, gearing up for deer season cleared a piece of property for deer camp up north this weekend

They are just now starting to rub their velvet here, I am ready for bow season. I am breaking in a new 60# damon howatt recurve,[replacement for a stolen one just like it] I got on ebay a few months ago. My old one I bought used also and killed a deer the first arrow I shot from it. This new one feels more like a damn 70# draw and I keep pulling to the right. Or I am just getting old and weak.

Got the first test batch out of the kiln today and it does smell good, into storage till next year when I will need it

Looks familiar. Well done. I have been shredding a lot too.

I will have 2 dark air varieties seed to share, pending germination test. Black Mammoth and One Sucker. Looking for another FC Variety with thick heavy leaves.

Growth of One Sucker was questionable. Black Mammoth is a keeper for sure.

I can send you some bamboo shoot it did better than my african red, very similar in nicotine and shape just bigger,also have some big gem seed . I'm going to shred it as it comes out this year, I still have 4 large boxes to shred from last years grow

My African red grew great, but thin leaves, so yield weight was not so good, for the number of large leaves.

Once my new seed is tested, I will start my exchange thread for the year. Sounds like we have a trade brewing.

How did you like the big gem? How did it grow, cure, and taste? I was thinking about adding it to my grow next year. I am only going to grow FC, silver river, and bursa.

Haven't tried my air cured big gem but I did try BrownThumb's which was flue cured and it was a very good smoke it was a good producer nice large leaf

Now I'm really done got a hard frost last night in the high 20's so I was out pickin the last suckers before they got frosted with a miners light at 10 pm

Had my first try at canning today picked up a pressure canner at an estate sale and some chicken at the meat market, it was a success probly do a lot more this winter

Looks like a nice late harvest. Hope they cure well.
