So Grgfinney, I see that you have already started germinating some seed. I think I will begin in a week or so. I want to plant early this year so I was thinking of transplanting to the ground between May 15 and May 31 - and no later. My plants grew great last year, but since I planted very late in the season, I had trouble curing them. Michigan could use a couple of extra weeks in a season. I envy the southern growers.

Simply amazed at your germination speed. Mine still haven't shown any signs of germinating (fresh seeds within 1-2 seasons). I might take a magnifying glass to see here in a little bit.

Nice start Greg, I started at the same time last year and all was fine but I had to put a space heater in the Portable green house last year at night. I am going to start planting tonight but I am going to use the larger trays this year, a lot were root bound last year before the ground was warm enough for them. Good Luck!!

chicken, just a heads up on the Volvo.....check for oil leaks around the valve cover (top of motor) and if turbocharged, make sure it does not burn oil (indicating worn out turbo). Both these things are very common with the volvo engines and either repair is in the multiple hundreds of dollars. I have encountered a few peole who thought they got a great buy on a late 90s volvo, only to find out that the original owner was selling it cheap to avoid cost prohibitive repairs.

Well gaskets and STP. Till the cops show up. Then the chicken got a problem.

trying to SAVE him from a potential problem. Been in the repair busness over 20 yrs. Money spent on car repairs will cut into his tobacco growing budget. lol.
