I paid $ 14.99 at southern states. They put me on to it. Download the label and look at all the caterpillars and things it kills.

thats nice to know, ,, i get a certain caterpillar, from my pecan tree, that B.T. just wont kill. and ive seen this same worm on my tater plants,

i may get some of that just for APHIDS.

I just couldn't get rid of the red aphids last year and the leaf mites until I got it. the mites left little spots all over the underside of my big gem leaf. It's little dark spots every where made me ashamed to show the leaf.

I've been trying to limit my use of pesticides this year to as needed situations. Early on the mocking birds were all over the patch, but I think the babies have left the nest now and the cats have a place to hide. I think the ants were keeping the Aphids down, I don't see ants that high on the plants and the leaves are getting sticky now. The one I am happiest with is the Red Wasps. I've always hated them, they're plentiful, aggressive and have a nasty sting. I've caught them hunting and killing hornworms, so I have to change my mind about them if they can keep up. I may get a tub of lady bugs to see if they'll stick around and work for me.

my cure for birds involves AIR and a BB. Dont like the agressive nature of the red wasp, but the black "dirt daubers" are my friend, Non agressive and kill all sorts of bad bugs. Even though they are just a bug, there is something to be respected about a critter that lives by hunting.

I red that the ants farm the aphids for the honey dew they secreat while they're sucking the life out your plant. I don't want the poison either but constantly washing the leaves with soapy water sux balls. my plants were cleaner than me and blowing them off with water pressure seemed to move them to the next plant, but cyonara said cyonara to them and a lot of other bugs.

If you look in the dirt dobbers nest its full of spiders. I like spiders and hate dirt dobbers nestes. But I like them. If the big as red wast eat ever bacca worm in the yard Id still hate em. Theyll pop you for no reason and thir stig can be dangerus.

I've got some dirt daubers in there too, they're a minority though. The Mocking birds weren't bothering the plants. I couldn't get too close to them, but could see them carrying stuff off to the trees to eat on high.

Nice picture!

Thanks! I wish I had a better camera that would do good close-ups.

I don't know what kind of ants these are, but they would carry all kinds of bugs back to the hill. I did notice some small plants that had a few aphids on them, but in a day they were gone.

I'm liking this multi-quote thing!

I tried Nuprid systemic on the seedling roots for aphids. I'll let you know how well it works.

We should also collect all the pest info into one thread. Right now it's scattered all over the place, even in non-pest titled threads.
