Making a carotte

The big reveal. Here is my carotte after 1 week of binding. I unwrapped it, cut it in half and will air dry it for a few more days before storing it jars for aging.
I have never really chewed tobacco before, but just had to try it. The smell is amazing! The chew tasted amazing! No bite at all. Intensely flavorful. Quite strong but not too strong. The marriage and integration of 6 kinds of organic tobacco must be experienced for ones self. If heaven was compressed into a plug of tobacco, this would be it. After a year of labor, the final product was beyond belief. No wonder this was currency in the 1800s.
I remember my grandpa Teem chewing tobacco until the day he died. Now I finally know why.
I also made my first twist.
