Solid advice, Bob. I'll definitely be getting myself a thermometer for the garden area now. It's always worth documenting the variance of your local microclimate (your thermometer; your yard) from the "local" forecast. For me, as winter approaches, my overnight low temp is often about 5°F lower than my "local" forecast. And with even gently sloping of land, the lower areas get colder, within a single acre.

Nice haul!I decided to harvest everything today. We're having a wind storm today, rain tomorrow then the Temps drop again. So I did the deed. Any tips on an expeditious way to clean the sand and debris off?
Thanks, Bob. That's what I was hoping to hear!Just hang the leaf. Once it has color-cured, most of sand and dirt will either drop off or can be easily brushed off with your fingertips.

Thanks, Knucklehead! I'm very happy with it. Very excited to see what it turns into.Nice haul!![]()
I'm thinking I should get a few clay pipes for the sampling process. I tossed some in a pipe and it tasted a lot like skiff mixture with tongue bite.Bottom leaf can sun-cure like that. Upper leaf usually cures to a darker color. It looks almost flue-cured. Stuff a bit into a pipe, and see what you've got.

These are great. They have clays and cobs.Wish i could stuff some in a pipe...cant find the one i want!
