I was browsing for a 0.7mm shredder and spotted this beauty, a bit out of my price league at £340 though!

Cuts 0.1mm > 1mm, has a separate block mould and a nifty auto-ratchet feed

Looks good but too expensive. All those types of cutters need a solid brick Was looking at Alibaba can get the Mach 1 50 to 100 dollars a unit min purchase is like 50.

Just had a look at the Mach 1 retail @ $300+ (I can't afford 1, let alone 50!) - smallest shred is 1/16th, or 1.5mm. Pretty chunky compared to 0.1mm here (and as mentioned, a block press is included)

A tobacco seed is about 0.5 mm (500 microns). Tobacco leaf shredded to 0.1 mm is the discarded dust at the bottom of a container. While I do not doubt that the ratchet movement can be set to advance 0.1 mm per blade stroke, I am skeptical that it has meaning for the shred. [The joy of raising and lowering your hand 1000 times, to shred a stumpy little 10 cm plug! And the blade gets gummy in proportion to the number of strokes, rather than the quantity of tobacco.]

1mm and the bigger cut on one supplier called the just good tobacco shredder. I think 50 is the min order. I think it is 100 min price to 200 depending on the number of units ordered.
