In my search for a razor sharp burn I've found the thinner the wrapper the better the burn. So I grabbed the thinnest I've got which is Nicaraguan seco leaf. I also get excellent results with a Piloto seco wrapper as well which is a little milder. Use whatever filler you want.

The second photo is the Aleman seco used as a wrapper. It is the best maduro wrapper I've used and burns well also. Great dark chocolate wrapper all natural with no dye and a great flavor to boot.

You sure make prettier smokes than I do! Never tried a cap on the end, I smoke two or three a day so I smoke them pretty rustic....
Ive been using a sumatra wrapper that seems to burn well. On the other hand I use a san andreas wrapper with equally good results.

Nice sticks. Whenever I have a batch of filler, I search through it for suitable wrappers, and set them aside. In my large order of Nicaraguan Habano Viso (~10 pounds arrived a year ago), about 1/6 of the leaves made it to my wrapper pile. I find that most of the filler graded leaf is a little trickier to use as wrapper, since it is usually not quite as stretchy, and the tensile strength is lower.

Another curiosity is that leaf that adds a nicotine sledge hammer, when used as filler, is much milder when used as a wrapper.

Don's Ecuador Shade is a very thin wrapper with small veins. It hydrates in minutes for wrapping, stretches extremely well, and burns great.

I'm going to have to order it next time, just ordered Habana 2000 early today. I read the description of it, and sound very good! Too bad there wasn't a seco available as well in Ecuador Shade, could make a good blender tobacco as well. Then again, there's always scraps?

I just had a Nicauraguan viso wrapped that was fantastic. A medium size leaf extremely dark and tasty. Does that count or new thread needed. Heh Heh. When Don and smokes initiated the first group buy I recieved several really fine Wrapper samples That I pull out from time to time.

I've learned a lot from deluxestogie in the short time I've been here, and keep learning every day. I would suggest that there's enough info to fill a few books, if not more. Gdaddy has shared a lot of rolling videos with me in the last 6 months, although I've only been rolling for 3 months. I'd like to see more of us here, myself included, make some rolling videos, especially for new rollers. How to get started, intermediate and advanced videos.
Also maybe a few videos showing folks how to use your scraps in rolling.
Personally, I separate my scraps when plausible, and when not, then it'll go into the mixed scrap jar. Only started rolling scraps last month when I got low on some of my blends. 1st time I sat down, I rolled out 15 to 20 extra cigars that would've went to waste in the mixed scrap jar. Rolled another 10 the last couple of days.
Just saw my order went out today, so I'll have plenty of filler this week.

Heh heh heh, Your hardcore man. I can't sit still that long to roll that many, or stand for that matter.

Great Idea Dave. I've learned more from video than any other way.

First, I'd like to see a video on how to make and post a video on you-tube. I haven't the foggiest idea. Maybe a tutorial showing how.
