Lol, all anyone would have to do is buy a Sabroso Medio kit and give it a try (wink wink). The cigar is made of 2 leaves of each filler, a double binder (1 whole leaf) and half leaf for a wrapper. It came out to be about 3/4"x6" smoke. When I got the kit the other day I rolled one up and smoked it right away. It was good, congrats to the member who came up with the blend, nice mild-medium smoke. I can put some burn pics up when I get to lightin' it, I'm out on a BB pistol shoot at the moment, forgot to bring it along. D'oh!

My latest offering. I am starting to get the hang of rolling. The middle 2 actually look pretty good. The other 2 not so much but I bet they smoke ok. I used the mold I got from Don for this batch so they are an honest 5x50.

UPlogo1.jpg

The Uppowoc Perfecto in its latest incarnation. That logo made from cigar leaf is an idea I stole from MarcL who pastes decorative patches on his sticks. I thought I'd put a logo "UP" for Uppowoc Perfecto on there.

The logo is cut by use of this die:

UPdie.jpg

Had a die maker cut the die for me. Place it on the leaf, give it a tap. Cut from a bit of Yellow Orinoco which Jitterbugdude gave me the sprout, then I killed it last year with my black thumb in the back yard. But I did hang that midget up in the shed. Glue that logo on a little patch of super smellicious fire cured that deluxestogie sent me. So this is a group effort all around. Plus out new friend from Connecticut is sending me a couple leaves of blonde blonde baccy I can use for a good color contrast.

The logo needs some tweaking. Instead of "UP", it looks like a musical note mated with a fish hook. Got to plunk down some more money and get a die cut with just a plain "U" I think.

One good thing about it: What with the glue on the smokey patch and the glue on the logo, it halts the burn on that medio sabroso before the nub burns my finger. So that's good. And I get to smell that smokey smellicious right under my nose. That's more than good.

Research continues. Gimme another year and I'll be putting out some presentable amateur rolls I hope.

From the Terroso Profundo kit. One is 4.5x52 and the other 5xsomething smaller. Haven't figured out how to make a longer one yet. I can truthfully say one of them is balanced. Even with great videos like Gdaddy's, I still manage to waste too much tobacco. I also got some maduro wrapper, but couldn't roll anything but super uglies with that one. I aint posting pix of those. Dont want to break my smart phone. Besides, me and a neighbor already smoked them.

Those look excellent! I believe I see a triple cap on there too! A mold will make them perfect and with practice you will only get better although they look really good already!

The Equador maduro seems to come out rather rough anyway.

How long did you let them dry? How did they smoke?

Don't worry...Scrap happens. Have a separate bag and put in all your scrap. You'll roll cigars using loose scrap and they are just as good. Nothing goes to waste.

Congrats!

....The Uppowoc Perfecto in its latest incarnation.....

And there you go. Very nice. .... The die is really the move. ... I like it. the first thing I saw, an image of a king cobra. As text I got uP. Where's the center of the P? I think it would loose the initial cobra image with it. I think. .... I'd say you've grabbed the title.

The center of the P would be too tiny to fool with, was my thinking. Need a magnifying glass and tweezers just to place it. Dunno how I'd cut it.

Research continues.

These two are laying on my desk right now drying out. I smoked a couple fresh rolled, and others dried out for a couple weeks. My neighbor likes them, but he hasn't been smoking hecho-a-mano's very long. He likes anything made out of tobacco. I was surprised how sweet the maduro wrapper is, almost like it was dipped in a sugar solution. Haven't decided I want to order any more of those, they are so hard to work with. Yep. Triple caps. Learned that from your video too. Thanks again.

Yesterday smoked this one 7" and 38 gauge. I rolled it with 2 leaves and 1 binder and wrapper. Still a bit to light for me, but I'm trying out the leaves, so this was expected.
I had always till 1" ash before it fell off. Smoked perfect, no relights, no touch up's and lots of smoke.
