I usually do 500 gr , a bit more than a pound of flour.
That ends up being 1,3 kilos of snus or 2 Ibs 13.856 oz.
I use this amount cause it gives me space to stir the flour in the batch or plastic container , which I would do every day for a week once a day.

I don't want to bother you, but if you have the chance try to check the Sweden invasive plants list, knowing my country like I do I'm not seeing no one bother to inserting rusticas in a ban list if not by EU pressure or direct orders.

It's working. Very ingenious solution. Do you plan to post a video of the contraption in operation?

Is that a mortar and pestle under your table? Is that how you make the tobacco dust?

Glad to hear that Nuk. Me and my neighbor made a video grinding tobacco last year but I had told him to hold the cellphone upright and that didn't work out too good.
But I promise you that next time I'm about to grind some tobacco I will show it '' in action'' .
Yes it is a mortar + pestle , but I don't use it to make my tobacco dust. Dust would be too fine I guess to make snus out of , I have a 1/16 of an 1 '' holeplate that I could mount on the grinder if I wanna have it real fine.
Used it when grinding Don's Latakia but all those small holes got plugged with bacca after just a while so I had to stop........

Here's the 1/16 of an 1'' , the original plate is twice the diameter.

Thanks leverhead !
This winter I had some 20 or so pounds of bacca that had to be grinded in some way and when I got the hang of it this here grinder did a hole lot of work in a short time.
Couldn't just imagine myself doin' it manually.....
Just took the handle away+ the screw/bolt holdin it tight , drilled a slightly bigger hole and made a new thread in which I put a new screw/bolt + cut of the head of that and had the drill put outside of that.

How long does it take you to snus 500g? Just curious. I go through about 15g (approx. 1/2 an ounce) in about a week but I also smoke a pipe.

500 gr turns into be 1300 grams , since I add 0,8 Liters of water to the flour to get the right texture of the mass.
Think I use some 25-30 grams a day , so the batch would last for about 47 days.

Yes , since I changed my way of producing it , I really do JBD.There is one brand here in Sweden called Off Road Loose Orginal that is really good too.
But since I don't have to pay much for my own I prefer that......
I can send you a small sample if you like ?

Very nice looking plants Mr. Green. You have done a Super Job Raising them.
Even the little rustica will come around.
I liked the Vid. Also.

them in cups look ready for planting. well done. When putting in the ground I like to trim off the small lower leaves and plant them deep, like tomatoes.
