Previously, when I’ve sorted my homegrown leaf, I made hands based on size of leaf only in order to have uniform hand sizes. This meant I lost track of leaf position.
I’d love to know how you all sort your leaves throughout the entire process.
I currently have a batch from a few seasons ago that has not yet been kilned. It air cured and has been hanging for about 2 years. On this batch I did keep track of leaf position but I used a tag made of tape on the twine tying the hands. This label will not survive the kilning process. How should I label them so that I can still tell them apart after being kilned. I thought maybe colored twine but wanted to hear what methods are used.
Thanks all!
