Looking for a smoky oak type of a flavour,or a drum type flavour.thanks in advance for any suggestions.have a great day
I've thrown pre air cured and slightly aged tobacco in a regular BBQ type smoker before at low temps (120-125F) with wood chips for about 6-8 hours and got decent smoke flavor (give it a light misting of water every so often while its smoking). If you are looking for a homemade blend that might be a good starting point for some of your tobacco. Plenty of BBQ oak chips for sale on the market if you don't have any oak trees nearby. Buying something already blended may save some work too;)

Yup. Just buy some fire-cured, and blend it in.

It is made commercially by firing in a barn filled with oak wood smoke.

I love latakia and wondered about using some of this in a pipe blend.
I'm guessing this has a higher nicotine count?
I don't notice you using it in your book Blend Your Own.
