I wanted to give a quick update as I started taking my tobacco journey a little further than home rolling. Since August of 2025, I’ve been navigating lawyers, agents, the state, the feds, and everything in between as kind of an experiment. In addition to see if you can indeed market & sell home rolled blends officially. I will say, there’s been many hurdles. Time spent going in one direction, when after months of waiting, was not the correct direction and lots of pivoting. It hasn’t been an inexpensive route to progress through, however, it has now gotten to the point where within the next 30-60 days… everything should be good to go! Fingers still crossed here.
In this time I’ve also been networking with various factories in Central America & have a couple very reputable ones that the wheels are moving for potentially get blends made in a larger scale production. One of which has sent me some blends that they have produced, some test blends, and some leaf straight from their factory! I wish I could send the aromas to everyone here to be able to have the same experience and thoughts it’s provoking in my mind.
I’ve been holding off posting anything about this… not sure why. However, I have to give a huge shoutout to everyone here that has been part of this journey and continue to be no longer “forum buddies”, but mentors & friends. I have so much gratitude for those still here, in addition to those who we have lost over the years. They may no longer be with us, but I have never forgotten them and their legacy still continues on in my thoughts & heart. This journey has always been about understanding tobacco on a much more personal level, sharing thoughts/ideas/leaf/seeds and everything in between. For that I’m humbled and grateful for each an every person here to share experiences and knowledge & to continue on this crazy passion we all love and enjoy. Cheers to each and every one of you!
