The dogwoods started opening up their blooms this morning. The lilacs and fruit trees were already blooming. It's starting to feel alot like springtime!!

New patch looking good. Plants are still small but if you have luck you can catch up leverheads.
Why you have green water below your floating trays. Is this some kind of super grow mix water?
It doesn't look natural color to me.

Excellent soil! The planting area looks like T-shape. Why is that?

That is what mine will look like so the idea is to let it set a day or two before raking it out? Like the T & Pound guess you'll use the pound for water?

The water has the fertilizer mixed in with it. I can check the amount of fertilizer with a TDS meter.(Total Dissolved Solids) This is the method BigBonner and other commercial growers use because you can get alot of plants in a small space: http://fairtradetobacco.com/showthread.php?18-Tell-me-about-float-tray-systems

I planted fruit and nut tree seedlings there last year. The T is to get between the small seedlings. I planted wild plum, oak, persimmon and crab apple.

Yes, It was a little moist for turning, but a rain is coming Thurs. I went ahead and turned it before the rain. If the dirt in the grass clumps gets dry enough, I'll rake it and pull out the rocks and grass clumps. If it's not too wet or dry the rock rake will just roll the grass clumps and dirt clods in front of it until they break up. There's a picture of my rock rake at the front of my grow blog. A tiller will pretty much bust all that stuff up at one time, I turned it with a tractor and cultivator. I ran a cheap water line down the hill on top of the ground to go to drip lines in case of drought. I hope I don't need it but it's easier to put it in place before the plants are in the ground so I'll put down my landsccape fabric, run the drip lines with 0.5 gph emitters spaced two feet apart and put a plant under each emitter.

I would like to try them for fish bait too. But after seeing the damage just a few can do to an otherwise beautiful tomato plant a couple years ago; I think I would prefer to not have to deal with them at all.

I hear that. I bought a bottle of BT from the Co-op, I'm armed and ready. I have a 15gal. sprayer that mounts on the rear rack of my four wheeler and runs off the battery. 15' hose plus 15' spray range.

So you have a lot of land and a beautiful German Shepard? I have to say I envy your situation.

And finally we make it to the present day, 3 evenings to get here. Your blog growing expertise are astounding, your tobacco seems to be coming along great too. Bar the normal hurdles. Love the settings you have to grow in, idyllic. An evening around your fire pit would be one to remember I'm sure. Win the lottery, rob a bank, hijack a plane, cant see it happening next week my schedule a bit full.
Nice one bro..
