This morning's pipe was some Wessex Burley Slice in a Cob.

I only have two pipes at the moment, so I can't show a different pipe everyday like Sid, but I can try to make my photo's interesting. So what I thought I'd do was take pictures with different and interesting backgrounds. Today's background is my saltwater reef tank.

Today's pipe was my Savinelli smoking the ubiquitous Lane 1-Q. First try of this blend, and I can understand why it is so popular - an eminently smoke-able blend. Not offensive with a nice room note, smooth cool smoke, pleasant flavor, and easy to keep lit. That said, it's also easily forgettable, not outstanding in any way. Will I smoke it again - absolutely. Very relaxing and enjoyable smoke. I'm thinking of getting another order to cellar.

In the pipeline are two new home blends. They are currently in the press for a week, so stay tuned for updates!

Shhh - if you don't say anything it's "artistic" and the focus is on the beautiful reflection of the tree on the surface of the coffee. I actually think it's quite pretty.

Blend #1 is an aromatic flavored with Tamdhu and Menorval: Penn. Red, Va Bright Leaf, Samsun Turkish, Cavendish (HG), Burley, and a tiny bit of Perique.
Blend #2 has no flavorings but used rum as a casing instead of water: Va Bright Leaf, Glessner (HG), Samsun Turkish, Perique, Cavendish, Cigar Scraps (HG), and a Bezuki Wrapper.
