That's a truly odd video. I agree that the music is charming. The video, by contrast, amateurishly attempts to evoke a past that never existed.

I believe that the Russian name, Marusya, is the same as the English name, Marcia.

In ancient Greece there was the name Maira or Maria. Pythagoras, Herodotus, Pausanias have mention it in names for girls even for a female dog.
In the Bible you can find it as Miriam or Miryam or Myriam which became later the Mary, Maria etc. You can find it here in Greece due to Christianity also as Mario, Maraki, Mairoula although there is also a name Maroulia-Maroula which comes from Cyprous.
Relative names for Marousa are here:

Stanwell Melange, double Greek coffee and cool water beside me.

I just realized that by "one of us", you meant, "pipe smoker."

(A while back, on a previous post, I was wondering if it could be true that there were Greeks in the Confederate Army.)

Yes i meant pipe smoker, in some episodes the stand can be seen on his desk.
Greeks knew about the country that now called US from the times of Trojan War (Odysseus) and Homer, from the times of Great Alexander and the Conquistadores.Greeks were in the today's called Latin America too.
Greeks fought in the Civil War and you can still find today here Southerner flags weaving and pins-patches.

I have a nearly identical, maple pipe stand that holds 7 pipes, and a half-circle, maple pipe stand that holds 6 pipes. I bought them decades ago. Since they are quite simple to construct in a basic woodworking shop, they used to be inexpensive ($5 or $6 each). Now they appear to be priced as luxury goods ($30 to $100 or more). I find this bizarre, since the prices of briar pipes (other than custom, boutique pipes) have perhaps only doubled over the past 50 years--not even keeping up with inflation.

I am staring how my red ear slider turtles making sunbath under the lamp, first they stretching their neck and later their legs and can stay motionless for hours.
