Nice little MM hardwood nose warmer with French press coffee and a little added molasses. A slow smoker. Takes 20-30 minutes to smoke a bowl.

Enjoying my Caddo Lake Breakfast Blend.

I picked today to start some miniature batch experiments (10 grams each) based primarily on an oriental. I ended up picking Prilep. It seemed right that I should smoke a bowl straight before making some blends. I’m now on my third bowl of straight Prilep and I haven’t blended anything yet. I’m smoking it in a Karlheinz Joura.

I love an occasional bowl of pure prilep (66-9/7). Good on you!

Took a break from some remodeling to enjoy my Caddo Lake Fishing Blend in a nice MM hardwood nose warmer and a cup of loose leaf black tea.

Ending the day with my Caddo Lake Campfire blend in an old handmade danish pipe - my first pipe I ever bought - next to the princess.

BTW, that ash tray is from the old cowboys stadium taken before it's demise to Jerry's World.

I wonder a few of things... if you don't mind me asking.

What is the white stem made of?

No problem to ask anything, in Greece it's very common especially in the country for people to ask anything each other while meeting in stores-Cafe-feasts etc, no offence taken.
It's acrylic mouthpiece from Germany, lathe work here in GR and bent plus some work in the lip by me.

Those look more like local street thugs:
“That’s a nice pipe, guv. Shame if it got broke. By the way, my mates and I need some bread….”

Yesterday: a bowl from my “scraps” jar, in a gourd calabash. The jar is a mix of various odds & ends; various aromatics, some English, a bit of Half & Half, some Mac Baren Vanilla Cream, the last half flake of Bengal Slice… you get the idea.

I have to say, the more I smoke the calabash the more I love it.

Greetings from Athens-Greece, we have sun and 93 'F here.

Here is the ''Shy Blackie" always staying in the back of my old parents house in the shadow, although looks with an strict look was very shy, always from distance and never came too close, me making one step forward then he was making one step backward, even when i was throwing food to him he didn't approach, we wanted to be very close to him. I don't know why was so afraid although he was looking that all the other cats were friendly with me.

''Is it you or is it me?" and as you can image the coward lost in this case too, he never ''fought'' for his food so i felt pity for him and i was waiting for the moment to be completely alone (so the other cats won't snatch the food) and with patience gave him to eat. He never-ever made a sound, not even a single ''meow" not even once, just stearing at me and waiting.

Some Balkan Sobranie in the smooth calabash. I have two gourd calabash pipes; this one and a rusticated one. Only one bowl between them, but it fits both. The bowl was stuck in the rusticated pipe, and split apart as I tried to gently work it loose. I bought this one cheap and found that the bowl was an almost perfect fit in the other, I just needed to lightly sand the cork seal. So now I can swap the bowl between them… I’d like to get another bowl, but haven’t yet found one the right size and the custom bowl makers want nearly as much for one as I paid for both pipes.

That looks like the old Pioneer calabash pipes.

J. H. Lowe has most meerschaum bowl sizes in stock and they aren’t that expensive.
