The patch has gotten bigger, and the seed bags fuller. The Metacomet is still putting on leaves at 6' tall, and the MD B100 is still growing at a slow pace. The leaves are quite large but a short plant. I keep waiting for the growth spurt but I don't think it's going to happen. The HI Burley 21 is over 8' tall with leaves 40"- 42" long by about 16"- 18" wide. A heavy producer that I will grow again next year. Another one I'll grow next year is Bafra. These plants have small leaves up to about 12", that keep giving and giving, and when cured they have a sweet citrus smell. I received some good news Thursday. I now have a surgery date of Nov. 5th, so keep the old sway back mule in y'alls prayers as I'm quite worried about being put to sleep. If all goes well I'll be home by Nov.7th.

Tobacco is looking great there Workhorse I know your a happy camper.
You'll be ok with your surgery, 2 years ago they had to work on my lung and I had a choice stay awake or get put out. To get put out the said I needed to get a tub run down through my spine and it could leave my crippled.
I had to tell them it was OK to do it, a hard decision. I gave the ok could not stand the thought of being awake while they grouped around in my chest. I'll never breath the same but it went well those guys were good and knew their stuff.
I am sure your team will be good too and you'll be doing back flips soon...! green-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon.gif

Getting put to sleep is no big deal. It's like going somewhere else while they cut on you. I have a nasty habit of breaking stuff in hard to get to places so I've been out alot. I would gladly let the dentist put me to sleep just to drill a tooth but I'm a big wuss and my dentist is a sadist. Not my crazy daddy. He won't even take novocaine to get a tooth filled which is something the dentist is quick to point out to me when I start begging for the nitrous gas. Daddy wouldn't even let them put him to sleep to take his appendix out. They set up a mirror and he watched the whole operation cool as a cucumber. Not me brother. Like I said, he's crazy and I'm a wuss. You'll be okay but I'll pray for you just in case. Don't worry about it and it won't bother you.

I'm with you Knucks. I want gas for an x-ray. And again when I write the check. Anything more and I wanna be out cold! My wife is the opposite. She had surgery on a tendon in her hand a couple years ago and watched the whole procedure. Thought it was fascinating to watch. :?

Oh..and we paid cash for the whole thing and got 40% off the bill.

best wishes for the surgery. Recoveries are so much easier than they used to be.

That HI Burley sounds like one I might like to try next year. Please let us know how it cures and smokes.
