5 weeks from transplant for Bolivian Criollo Black.
I pruned off 3 or 4 bottom leaves from each plant a few days ago. They colored up fast. The heat and humidity have been pretty high, normal for this time of year.
Rainy season should be ending in the next few weeks. Looking forward to not having to mow the lawn every week!

6 weeks from transplant. I've had to spray a few times to control the stink bugs and some kind of red beetle.

7 weeks from transplant. I've primed about 6-8 leaves from each plant, so I can feed and water easier. Most of them were showing signs of ripening and many had yellow/brown spots from stink bug damage. Stink bugs have been really plentiful this season. I expect the plants to start showing signs of blooming in a week or so.

8 weeks from transplant. No signs of flowering yet. More of the lower leaves will be primed in the next few days. Looks like BCB will be the heaviest yielder I've grown so far. The leaves aren't that thick, but they are large and there's a lot of them. I should have spaced them a little further apart. It's too late to move them now because they have roots growing out the bottom of the containers into the ground.

10 weeks from transplant and still no signs of blooming. I'm tempted to go ahead and top them now, some of the stalks are approaching 5 feet. That's too tall for an outdoor container plant and it's going to be windy for the next several days due to an arriving cold front today. I've primed these a few times already and more leaves are ready to be primed.

Ole Wruk! The only guy on this forum worried about his plants getting too tall and outgrowing us all. Haha. I concur with Bob, you have mastered this grow method.

11 weeks. Almost done for this year. I'll harvest the rest in a week or so. These plants didn't flower at 70 days; I topped them because they were becoming too tall. In a previous post I mentioned that my neighbor has bright security lights that illuminate my grow area, I'm not sure if this had anything to do with non-flowering. The leaves matured up the plants regardless and were picked when they began turning yellow. I don't know if the nicotine content will be affected, I'll find out in a few months.
I plan on growing a few known varieties in the spring to see if they mature as they have in the past, if they don't, I'll blame the lights.
I'm thinking maybe Little Dutch and Little Yellow in the spring.

Harvested the remainder of the crop today. It's been 2 and a half weeks from topping. The 10-day forecast calls for warm weather and near perfect humidity.

One week of coloring from final harvest. Most of the middle and lower leaves have been completely dried and boxed for aging.
I bought this guitar a few weeks ago at a pawn shop for $100, looks like it's never been used at all. Not crazy about the color, but I put some fancy locking tuners and new strings on it, and it sounds great to my untrained ear.

All of my fall crop of BCB is completely dry now. I just moved them back to the lanai to bring them back into case. The cardboard box contains all the lower to mid stuff.
