The difficulty I find in your initial question is that "favorite viso" depends on what else will be in the cigar. What percentage of the viso? How much of what ligero? How much of what seco? What will be used for wrapper and binder. How large a ring size? How long a cigar. A single "favorite" viso is, for me, an unanswerable question, when there is no blend context.

I do understand your motivation for asking. Perhaps a better question would be which viso variety is most versatile in numerous blends and cigar dimensions and assorted binders and wrappers.

Whole it was available, the Brazilian Mata Fina was my favorite (still my favorite). My favorite that I can still order is the Corojo Viso.

I cheated. My favorite cigar is all Nicaraguan filler. Seco, Viso, Ligero. Ecuador Maduro binder/wrapper. Easy inventory.

Okay. I admit it. I did it. It was me. My favorite viso is Corojo 99. Home-grown, from @BigBonner, and from WLT. I love Corojo 99. But because I love Corojo 99, I had hoped to politely recuse myself from sitting judgement on the issue. So...Corojo 99!

Condega is just a small town outside of Estelí, Nicaragua. I wonder if they always grow the same tobacco variety. The name, Condega, appeared in tobacco lore not that long ago.
