Smoked this last night. The my father h-2k-ct. This is new to the UK. Nicaraguan filler, binder and a hybrid h2k connecticut wrapper. Suprisingly medium smoke for something of the my father line. Still Another absolute beauty by don pepin!

My 2nd baby girl was born on monday so what better way to celebrate than Smoking the my father opulencia tonight. Nicaraguan filler, binder and mexican rosado oscuro wrapper. Its actually a criollo and corojo double binder i believe. Absolutely love the my father line cigars. This is no exception. Notes of strong coffee and earth with some spice. The only thing i dont like is the mexican wrapper. I find mexican wrappers especially san andres have quite a 'chalky' taste. They can be quite overpowering on a cigar if the rest of the blend is too light or not nuanced enough. But pepin has pulled it off with this stick!

Ended the night with the last bolivar royal corona in my humidor. Thoroughly enjoyed as cuban prices here in the UK are stupidly extortionate. Even kidnappers ask for less when holding someone for ransom. Don't know when i will buy more cubans for now. Tbh even bolivar being one of cuba's more stronger cigars tasted like a medium to me. I'm guessing its because ive been smokong a lot of nicaraguan and honduran cigars for the last few months. Anyhooow twas a beautiful smoke!
