No no x cuts yet Knuckles worried the damn grass will grow through I have a few weeks before I'll plant any thing. Had a hell of a storm here last night. Got most of it back in place made a bunch of wood "T" stakes to hold it down but am going to take your advice an put some slits in it when I finish up tomorrow. Am glad it didn't happen after I put tobacco in it would not have been pretty.

Any thoughts on Compost Tea for misting starts would it burn?

When prepping start trays:
sift starter peat etc.- add to cells add 10 cups water let the peat soak up water and drop seeds.
Started 4-20-2013
First 36 seed started in Miracle Gro seed starting potting mix with 30% Vermiculite
mixed in. Dimpled the cells in this tray little deep.
Started 4-24-2013
36 Va Bright seeds started in 5 cups Miracle Gro Sphagnum Peat mix & 3 cups Vermiculite 12 Va Bright, 14 Red Tobacco, 14 Silk Leaf started in 5 cups Miracle-gro seed starting potting mix & 3 cups Vermiculite
Started 4-24-2013
All seed started in a mix of 50% Miracle Gro seed starting potting mix with 50% Vermiculite.
4-25-2013
See some Green in a few cells Silkleaf from Seedman has been 5 days
should see more tomorrow.

Waiting for sprouts can be a life time and painful, Only dimpled 36 cells will not dimple again seed I think is better on flat surface.

Those are my notes to my self to look at next year will be making the all through the grow period. I only dimpled the 36 cells all the others I left flat. Going to put em out side today I think.

Pretty awesome seeds from grin have started to germinate just 4 days put em in on the 24th / seeds from seedman in 36 cell tray are still trying half the varieties have started while the others have not has been 8-9 days.
The seeds from GRIN went in a mix of 50% Miracle Gro seed starting potting mix with 50% Vermiculite and a Table Spoon of 2-4-1 organic liquid fertilzer (Neptune's Harvest) to 10 cups water poured into tray and allowed to soak into cells.
I have also place start trays in the chamber 80% RH and 77F - 25C
will be interesting to see what I have over the next 2 days

Has been 5 days many of the varieties I am germinating have started. But am concerned about the Virginia Brightleaf, Gold Dollar, Gold Seal, and Gold Special these have not started yet. 3 of the varieties I just mentioned are in the 1st start tray of 36 cells that tray is pushing 14 days. If I don't see green on these soon I may try BB jar or the bag method for these.

Looking good knucklehead, dont give in on the brightleafs yet my virginia gold took 28 days before showing any green specks.

Been looking at the grow plans you fellas have posted in your grow blogs and my dim burning light finally got a bright flash!! God I'm slow some times...
New plan lets me put a lot more plants on the same amount of ground.

Patch is 55 feet deep & 40 plus feet wide 12 rows 27 plants ea. and last 3 rows of orientals 36 plants ea.
Added this to give more clarity. The first 12 rows from the left to the right will be 1 variety each, row 13 will be Samsun (PHYB) - 1 row 14 will be Samsun (PHYB) - 2
And row 15 is split 50/50 Black Sea Samsun and Oriental Blend

Got ta muddle a bit could be 2 or 3 more got a few weeks to kill before I can plant, I lack expertise but make up for it in effort.

Why hell yes! but am thinkin bout boxing it up an passing out free samples ya want one?You don't still think you've got a corner on that, do you?
Hermet! Well ya now know being one can cause ya ta think an do strange things our club my be bigger than most know.
Went an checked on those starts they seem to like it in the chamber / Grow Box - heck put the germination cups I made up today in there too. Want to see if they will go faster gave em all a dose of that fish sauce (2-4-1) so their cozy and fed.
