Im cheap too and have done that in the past also. The trays are tough to get out due to the screens they are sitting on have a 1in. Vertical lip to keep them from sliding out.Sounds right. I know I should have 4 bulbs per length too. My center plants directly under the bulbs grow faster and the outer ones stretch toward the center.
I'm cheap though, so I just rotate my trays once a week or when the growth is uneven, turning the smaller outer pants toward the center and the larger ones to the outside, to keep growth even.
I found a Super Deal On craigslist two 2x4 light fixtures for 15 bucks a couple miles from the shop.
I grabbed them after work, they still had the diffusers in them so i could not see inside I was in a hurry also.
I got home and opened them up. WTF these are 2 bulb fixtures, I heard of contractor grade but I have never seen a 2x4 fixture with only two bulbs.
Not much of a Deal Now.![]()
2 ft by 4 Ft ceiling light fixture is the size I meant.Am I missing something? I thought 2x4 meant two bulbs, four feet long.
I missed the lights, but got stems instead.Bob's way is actually Larry's way. Larry's approach to germination suggested to me that most tobacco varieties will germinate just fine, in the absence of light. After 4 to 6 days, dump the jar, and pick out the "Christmas lights," in Larry's words.
