Good luck! There is an archery shop finally opening up in Madisonville, about 20 miles from home. The only one for a hundred miles. I have to order shafts and feathers, glue, jigs online to make my own arrows. I saw it and stopped in And the owner was parked out front. He also teachs youth archery to the kids here in the town where I live. They were under construction still but he gave me a tour. It,s a 12,000 sq' building with 3000 set up for merchandise and sales. The rest is shooting lanes for 5 people each and a huge area set up with moving targets. Several different tpes like bears, squirls,cobras,.. He will be hosting archery tournaments with bleachers and concessions inside and also have a weigh in station for fishing tournaments. He also has several acres outside for shooting ranges. I am excited for it to get to shoot against other people again. If he can get enough people that shoot a recurve we can have a tournament for that. I always have to shoot against compounds. I hope your FTT gang win big time!

I finally found some miracle grow pottind soil for seed starting in the next town that looks promising. It's .03-.03-.03 very fine soil, no sifting or bark to worry about.. I'll be starting a batch tommorrow everything except my grow out varietys which will be a couple few days behind. I have a long growing season and we have still been having hard frosts and I am ankle deep in water everywhere. Luckily I got my first till in for my gardens.

At least it is warm and sunny today here. You should see the Navasota River it is way out of its banks

Thanks Guys,
Well they needed a little more luck.
Hell they did great, I am proud of them.
Not top 3 but at least in the top 10.
We will find out Monday.
The girls CRUSHED Boys in the middle school and high school devisions.
One girl got a perfect 200. Damn you would have thought she had a scope on that bow.
No sights or markings are allowed on the bow, just the arrow. The bow must be a Genesis also.

I had a pack of golden burley seed laying around so I figured I would add them to my grow.
I planted them in a lid like usual and sent the rest to another member.
I dropped the lid checking it out a few days later.
I put it back in but the dirt and seed went everywhere.
Nothing has came up or even looks like a shell popped.
I am going to try I think bobs way, Jar it.

Bob's way is actually Larry's way. Larry's approach to germination suggested to me that most tobacco varieties will germinate just fine, in the absence of light. After 4 to 6 days, dump the jar, and pick out the "Christmas lights," in Larry's words.

I was not happy with the diffusers I made. The center plants are getting bigger and the outer ones were still stretching for light and smaller.
I did a bunch of crusing the net and found for the most part 4 bulbs across tray is best for seedlings.
I Found 3 2x4 fixtures on craigslist for cheap.
I was able to get 4 trays under each 2x4 that left enough fixtures to double all the other ones up.

Sounds right. I know I should have 4 bulbs per length too. My center plants directly under the bulbs grow faster and the outer ones stretch toward the center.

I'm cheap though, so I just rotate my trays once a week or when the growth is uneven, turning the smaller outer pants toward the center and the larger ones to the outside, to keep growth even.

I found a Super Deal On craigslist two 2x4 light fixtures for 15 bucks a couple miles from the shop.
I grabbed them after work, they still had the diffusers in them so i could not see inside I was in a hurry also.
I got home and opened them up. WTF these are 2 bulb fixtures, I heard of contractor grade but I have never seen a 2x4 fixture with only two bulbs.
Not much of a Deal Now.

Im cheap too and have done that in the past also. The trays are tough to get out due to the screens they are sitting on have a 1in. Vertical lip to keep them from sliding out.

Am I missing something? I thought 2x4 meant two bulbs, four feet long.

2 ft by 4 Ft ceiling light fixture is the size I meant.
I googled them and they still make them. I guess they are used for residential building.
I was able to make one 4 bulb light out of the two. It took about 15 min. to do.

My boy decided on a new Hobby I can't afford.
I am teaching him how to build things with what's laying around and googling it.
Anyone know what we built today. Cost nothing and the neighbor gave him a free chunk of railroad track to help out.

Hmm. A galvanized box containing something cooled by a small fan. (A motor, maybe.) The brake drum is attached in such a way that it may need to rotate. I believe that's a slab of polished steel beneath the drum, which might serve as an inertial stabilizer. Could it be some sort of rock polisher, or brass shell polisher?
