I've grown Black Mammoth and Shirey and there are ok, but still do not have the strength I'm after. I have a bag of WLT Dark Air Cured, fantastic aroma ,very dark color and taste, and it is exactly what I would like to grow. Does anyone have any idea which varietal of tobacco this is. I was thinking perhaps India Black?

I believe that WLT Dark Air-cured leaf is domestically grown. That's unlikely to be India Black. Madole would be a reasonable guess. Here is a typical listing of commercially available (i.e. very large quantity of seed) Dark Air-cured varieties currently available to tobacco farmers:

Workman Tobacco: Dark

You can check for varieties of interest at Northwood Seeds.

Thanks Bob, The other site does not work and in any case I could not purchase a commercial amount. I know all the varieties at Northwood Seeds and they are in your book as well ( I have read them at least 100 times by now. ) So I guess a call to Northwood Seeds is the next step.
