They are Looking Real Nice, I like how you kept your first planting area going. That looks like a lot of work.
Let's hope Mother Nature Stays on our Side.

Looking good DG cant wait till mine get big, looks like you'll be picking some ytb lugs soon
YTB lower leaf cured really thin last year, I think I let the yellowing fool me into thinking they were ripe and harvested too soon. Going to give them more time this year.

I do have to start getting bud bags ready though.

Bob and BT, thank you. Harvest will be a bunch of work, but for now the larger grow is easier, I don't have to obsess about every plant being perfect or losing one here and there, or a few small ones that don't want to grow, etc.

What kind of bags are you using this year? Your plants look great. How tall are the bagged plants? How many leaves?

the bagged ones are right at chest high, 16-18 leaves (a little disappointed on that part). Those are 5gal paint strainer bags. picked up a couple locally, but at 3.95 for 2, considering making the rest myself like I did last year. They are very nice though, I would use them exclusively if cheaper but I have over 30 varieties to do this year.

I know what you mean. Yours are taller than mine. I have some of my VBL budding at about 30 inches and I fear that the rest of them will bud soon and they are only about 18 inches, but what can you do.

I have 4 varieties of Prilep going for seed grow out. Currently they remind me of the "three of these things being together" routine.

Pics of each:

The 66-97 14037504433102.jpg

The 79-94 14037504548533.jpg

And the odd-ball 1375. Note the leaves are more oval, and completely lack the frilly edges of the other ones.14037504340581.jpg

Have had some evening showers but have been spared the big downpours. Also seems like as long as the spray application has time to dry, it takes a shower or two ok.

Mowed, weeded, and sprayed BT today; aphids will get hit hard in the morning, when the leaves are standing up and easier to spray underneath.

This weeks pics of the big patch:
