10 days after planting, not much to show. Good news is there are less dead spots than expected, "only" 40-50, which still hurts my feelings.

What I have is a bunch of these (note the remnants of the much larger leaves they were planted with):14000213142890.jpg14000213604980.jpg

And a few of these:

And a row of Harrow Velvet that actually looks happy.14000213466082.jpg

Bummer, At least not a total loss. That Harrow Velvet Kicks Butt. I am growing it this year also, one tough big plant.
I hope more pull thru for you. Good Luck,
BT

With all those beat up plants, just pretend that I came by and secretly gave them a deluxe clipping before transplant.

In 2013, my Harrow Velvet bed was drowned for nearly two weeks. Not a single plant died. None grew to their full potential, but most were fairly productive.

HV is a new one for me.

Weather has been good this week so hopefully the rest are setting good roots and will make up for lost time. Just hard to look at right now.

They are. The small leaves are actually new growth since the scorching they took the first few days.

That's good to hear. My Timor has given me fits from the start. It looked like they were about to die in the cells so I went ahead and planted them in the field. They were nothing but a bud head when I planted them but they seem to have taken a turn for the better. They're putting out new leaves also. It's still touch and go. I had to replace a TN 86 and a Harrow Velvet, they just disappeared, I'm guessing deer. I wouldn't do anything beyond trimming the dead leaves off the hurt ones, too much attention can be as bad as Roundup. It's a heartbreaker to see your babies in that condition, but I think you're better off than you think you are. I have my fingers crossed that this next wave of storms only brings mild, soaking rain. (and not too much of that either)
