Here they would be ahead. They will take off in a run for the sun soon. I think they look great. Different types for different times. Good job and nice haul so far. Mine are in the start mode now. So give them a little time- You will need it for Your kiln time in. Mad-
They are budding out already. Done. Actually hoping the sucker a lot.

Checked on the big patch for the first time in several days today. A few pics and a lot of work to do this weekend. Damn aphids everywhere.

Well get a good priming from the burleys.

Black Mammoth is getting some beautiful leaf thickness and texture.

African Red is still churning skyward, many pushing 7ft, and no buds yet, simply beautiful.14051292515403.jpg

Nice ripe leaf in that first pic, I'm drooling over it. You got me excited about the african red too. I think it'll be a part of my grow next year. Even at the cluster grow I got going, the african red is 1.5' taller then the rest with super large leaf.

Your patch is growing nice. Everything looks great. You'll be priming soon. Big change from this time last year. Keep on top of the aphids.

Prilep presenting ay unique problem. Hard to bag flowers that don't rise above the leaves. 14051713384580.jpg

I keep getting left out of the forecasted afternoon showers, so artificial water today. Sprinkler does provide some size perspective to the pic.14052020701460.jpg

AHHHH Bama, Love those double rows. That has already been decided for me for the 2015 grow. Out of curiosity, what is your in-row and row to row spacing?

PS: Dang fine plants.

The double rows are 2' between with 20" plant spacing, staggered. Each double row is separated by a 5' walkway.

For oriental, I used the same row width, but planted triple row staggered with 16" plant spacing in each of the three rows. Works out to about 12"between plants.

I haven't watered even once this year. I wish I had left enough room to get my mower between the rows. It rained almost every day up until 2 weeks ago. My weeds[crab grass] are as tall as my tobacco plants in my cigarette garden. I brushog my field around it and it is still to thick to run my mower this year, Your garden looks great!
