Yes, leaf size matters. I did just do some last week that had five types of leaf in the filler.
The seco did have a whole leaf. One of the binders were most of half of a seco. The other binder was thinner so, there was more as far as leaf count goes.
One of the ligeros was 2/3rds of a half and, the other was a full half because it was much smaller.
The viso was mostly 3/4 of a leaf.
You could re-do the bunches. You may be able to save the binders if they haven't dried to much.
When I do this I will hydrate the leaf in the attempt to keep the leaves in tact by using a damp paper towel as I de-construct them.
This needs a re-drying before assembly.
Getting the feel of what works will take trial and error on your part.
The size of a cigar and it's weight relates to the draw so here are some standard to ponder.
