Yes, leaf size matters. I did just do some last week that had five types of leaf in the filler.
The seco did have a whole leaf. One of the binders were most of half of a seco. The other binder was thinner so, there was more as far as leaf count goes.
One of the ligeros was 2/3rds of a half and, the other was a full half because it was much smaller.
The viso was mostly 3/4 of a leaf.
You could re-do the bunches. You may be able to save the binders if they haven't dried to much.
When I do this I will hydrate the leaf in the attempt to keep the leaves in tact by using a damp paper towel as I de-construct them.
This needs a re-drying before assembly.
Getting the feel of what works will take trial and error on your part.
The size of a cigar and it's weight relates to the draw so here are some standard to ponder.

I use a 7x47 Churchill mold. With WLT's Dominican Ligero, Criollo 98 Viso, and Criollo 98 Seco I use 4 leaves (1 Ligero, 1 Viso, 2 Seco). In a 47rg, using all the leaf with no scraps on filler and in proper casing, I find them a bit on the loose side, regarding draw. I'll probably add another half Viso leaf my next batch and see how that draws.
Thanks I only made mine about 5.5in. Should've just made them around 7 and cut them down. Would've worked better

I wrapped them in paper towels to rehydrate this am. I haven't rolled a 48 in a while so I lost the touch. Funny how rolling 1 size for a while changes everything

Absolutely. I've always have had some that are off when I roll though, I do like to save the ones that are off while I roll till after that session to re-do them and get them right. .. the chance me getting it fixed has always worked out better that way.
Much easier to roll w/o a mold.
I do like to set the draw in the shoulder and head with the body pressure set to burn. the foot is looser for lighting.

I roll the same way actually. For some reason when I back filled injustvput too much in. Didnt seem like it when they went in the mold thought as they fit perfect. I took them apart and thought maybe the bunch twisted but that wasnt the case
