I tried to push the air through the whole pile of leaves when they were fresh they didn't leave any big gaps, and i was able to push the hot air through the whole tobacco pile uniformly, but as they shrank, the air got easier paths on the sides and top and didn't want to go through the pile anymore and escaped from the top and sides. What do you think the problem was? Lack of ventilation between the leaves, or the temperature too low (e.g. the high-enough-heat not reaching the bottom of the pile in a timely fashion)? Or something else?
