Hi Gang

I don't know if it's just my excitement or what but my plants haven't grown any bigger since sprouting they came up after about 5-6 days but since then there's been no improvement. Here in Germany we've had a few late frosts so I'm hoping it's just that. Although obviously they're still inside so that shouldn't really matter. Would any one suggest planting another batch or is it to late ?

Cheers

They are probably just fine. Tobacco seedlings always seem to grow slowly the first few weeks. Once they start growing, they really take off. I think early on they are establishing roots for rapid vegetative growth later on.

If your like me, be careful not to kill your seedlings with kindness. Don’t over water when they are small and indoors, and don’t fry em with fertilizer trying to get them to grow. Happy growing!

Hi Gang. So it's been two weeks or so since I last posted. The tobacco hasn't grown any bigger and is about the size of cress it's getting warmer here now but I'm sure I'm way behind compared to last year. I'm using seeds that I kept from the strongest of last year's plants so hopefully it's not a bad batch if seeds

Are they still on the inside of the window?
If there is no heater below the window, it could be too cold for them.
I’m in Germany, too- and the plants near a heater always grow faster than in a window with no heater below it (kitchen and bathroom).

So I've split them up now one on a radiator and one set in a spare terrarium hopefully that helps
