Hooligan, is that a freehand perfecto?

That's my newest project, is to master the freehand (no mold) perfecto. Think I'll call them Uppowoc Imperfecto. Your average bunch wants to tend toward that shape anyways. Yours looks like a creditable attempt at a plump taper job.

I need to get to Mesa AZ, see how you do it. In a couple years I'll be 70. Want to ride across country to celebrate. See you then.

Shut the damn door. You'll let all the neighborhood bums in.

I tell you, tho... this thread is getting seriously depressing. Got all these different guys posting pics of sublime stix way better lookin than I could ever roll.

My last couple sessions didn't turn out as good as the sticks from a few sessions prior. I'm still pretty new to rolling so the consistency visually isn't there, but at least they all burn and smoke well. I think I need to bunch and place in the mold one day and then wrap the day after to help the looks

I frequently do that way just out of necessity. It works. But beware: after a day in the mold my sticks, at least, tend to get stiff; and the mold marks tend to harden. Nor do my fectos plump out in the middle so nicely as I like, once they are pressed too long. Nevertheless, as I say, time is at such a premium here that I frequently have to let them sit in the mold a day. It does enforce a shape.

Wrapped my daily four matalotos this morning, for instance, from bunched bound yesterday morning. Then rolled up a quickie imperfecto. Then plunged into the day's work. Prolly won't have time to bunch my next four matalotos until this evening; then leave them to wrap next day. Hard to fathom how much busier I become the older I get.

Second ever quickie imperfecto:

No mold. No trimming. Did add a flag and cap, tho. Big and plump. Need to tighten them up.

Off to the hardware store now... 2" finish nails.

Nice lines on that baby, Web.

Nah, it's ugly. I know that. I'm just plunging into imperfectos as a challenge. Each time I do a batch of four perfectos, I figure I'll throw in one imperfecto. Maybe a year from now they may look like something. Ain't rolling fun? Wouldn't it be cool if you could whip out a five minute quickie perfecto, no mold, no trimming, no wetting the leaves, and have it come out looking decent?

Odd. I always smoke robustos or coronas, store made. But I way far and away prefer to roll perfectos, home made.

Scored my finish nails. No I'm out to the porch to do my stogie research. Need to write up a review of the new Indian Motorcycles Cigar for a new web store I'm working on.

I wasn't bullshitting when I picked the word "lines." What I mean is the general shape of the thing, the outer contour. I find it very pleasant. It flows. Put MarcL on that thing and you've got a 20-buck shape. ;)

Appears that you like your head skinny and your foot fat. I go the other way round, head plumper than foot.

You guys are just amazing. I finished two more. Still under 10 total. Draw is good on these. Not going to cap them. Just going to smoke one of them later.
