Smoked a gurkha ghost angel today. Haven't smoked this for around 3 years. Slap bang medium on the strength scale. I love the brazillian arapiraca wrapper. Was nice to change up from the usual nicaraguan smokes. I feel like it resets/rests the pallete.

The last time i bought a few of these was around 2023 and i had a bad batch. I remember clearly i had bought 10 of these and 10 arturo fuente magnum rosada 58. The fuentes were brilliantly on point, these gurkhas however, 8 of these wouldn't smoke. At first i thought it was a humidity issue but after resting them at between 67-70% RH for 2 months i tried again but still wouldn't smoke. Most of them were plugged/wrapped way too tight! After reading up about them i noticed that the reviews all said the quality of construction of gurkhas were the same as cubans. 17-18 out of a box were unsmokable/trash. That put me off gurkhas for a while until i saw these at my local cigar shop today and thought i'd give them another try. I'm glad i did As this one was on point!

Took the family to blackpool pleasure beach today. Was a bit windy but had a lot of fun. I made the noobie mistake of forgetting my cigars at home. Had initially planned to take the tatuaje cabaiguan with me but, forgot it on top of my cupboard after cutting it and becoming distracted by the kids. After finding the only cigar shop at the pleasure beach, my eyes instantly caught this punch 48 (la casa del habano). I paid for it and just kept smelling it all the way back to the beach (0.6 miles). I had a nice dinner and grabbed an ice cream before savouring this smoke.

Beautifully constructed, not tight/plugged and not too loose either. I dragged the smoke out to just over an hour as i really enjoyed it and didnt want it to finish. Very floral and cedar-ee with that cuban tingly spice and nuttines throughout the cigar.

As cigar smokers we try to match cigars to the occasion and sometimes the cigar lets us down. But this was the perfect cigar for the perfect occasion!

Had to light it up in the car as the wind was picking up but Just wish i had taken a picture smoking this on the beach!!

Been a while since I've posted. Since most of my WLT.com tobacco is depleted now, I've been buying from LO.

One of my DIY blends in a corona size. 100% Nicaraguan. 1 part Esteli viso, 1 part Condega viso, 1 part Jalapa Ligero, and 1 Condega viso. All are listed as Criollo 98 seed. Binder is Nicaraguan Criollo 98, and wrapper is Nicaraguan but not listed what seed. I assume it's also Criollo 98.

Black and Cayenne pepper spice at the start but mellows out. Black pepper, leather, peanuts, dry earth, and caramel notes throughout. Leather and caramel become more dominant towards the end. Medium-full but more on the medium side. Nicotine is medium.

I've rolled around 10 other these with various wrapper. The Nicaraguan wrapper and no wrapper (binder only) seem to be the best to my palate.
