My cheap harbor freight hydraulic press made some nice plugs. I had to get rid of it before I moved a few years ago, so I made a bunch of random tobacco plugs before I got rid of it. Some are in tins, some vacuum sealed, and others in jars. It was a gift from past pressuredleaf to present preasuredleaf.

Baba Yaga
This is the first blend Bob thoughtfully concocted after a discussion on using Little Dutch in some new creations in the "pure pipe tobacco blends you can make" thread.
I made it with a pinch of Latakia, then into coins stuffed straight into a pipe like baba yaga would stuff lost children into a cauldron. This is what I'm after. Perique gives it a nicotine punch and some body that Little Dutch seems to lack. Attaboy Bob.
Enjoyed with a traditional glass of dark bread Kvass that I forgot to post in the "let's see your homemade booze" thread.

Forgot to mention. The Little Dutch does seem to blend in really well, almost hiding. It does contribute a lovely aroma to the smoke.

Constable Higgins reads his notes to Inspector, changes the sheet of paper to another page but it looked empty to me, then after few seconds he returns to previous page which clearly was empty, so what he was reading? He just knew from before what to say, a directors mistake.

According to the centuries-old Greek custom we cut a special made pie on New Year's Eve at 12:01. Each piece is dedicated to someone and when we cut it we say a name, for example: this is for the house, for the children, for the landlord, etc. This year the lucky coin fell to Jesus!

Did you rehydrated it ?
The plugs i had would mold quickly if not dried out fast enough with the downside it turning quickly hard and brittle. I cutted flakes as soon as i was finished with pressing.

The plug was made using low case tobacco. I could handle the leaves without them crumbling, but they could still be broken with hard folding.
I used a shop press to make my plugs. In this situation, you have to use low case tobacco. Otherwise, all the juices leach out under the extreme pressure. Interestingly, experiments with higher cases tobacco have inferior plugs. After removing them from the mold the high case tobacco would “spring back” and make a very loose plug.
