My second Gurkha Grand Age Preaidente now and while I’m not blown away or anything, I’ve definitely found another stick that will find its way into my regular rotation. I’m really happy I don’t jump on the “bandwagon” of popular opinion too fast or at all without doing some research at the bare minimum, especially with products such as cigars or I would’ve missed out on a very good cigar and all the potential I see with the brands other offerings.
In the Reddit cigar community (which I am no longer apart of), if you mention Gurkha at best you’ll be told they’re akin to canine genitalia or feces. That right there tells me it’s a hive mind mentality, or at least I hope so and that no one of them has actually tried
I see them quite often and they always look like a well made and aesthetically appealing stick, so final I bought some and was not disappointed!
Extremely smooth and very good tasting. Construction on the first two has been as close to perfection as I could expect a product made by human hands to be. I usually find mellower cigars to be a lot less complex and while I enjoy them, I tend to prefer a more full bodied cigar because the flavor profile and nuances seem to me to build and change so much more throughout the cigar. But this cigar stands apart from other more mellow cigars in that the flavors built and changed throughout but never became overbearing. I look forward to trying some other blends from them.
