I picked up a deer and put it in the van once that was hit by the car in front of me. I like doing that, i dont even have to pay for the bullit. Plus it's already tenderized. I almost felt like i cheated.

Reminds me of the movie "Tommy Boy." The deer was just knocked out and came back to life in the back of the car? Man, that deer tore that car up!!

Years ago my wife's grandmother (who raised her) was with her grandpa hunting hogs and had caught a sow and pigs, She picked up a pig and it bit her on the nipple! She threw it down and aint ever picked up another one. I heard the story years later, but all she would say was "I aint messin with them SOB's".

Yeah, I'm gonna watch it for a week after topping and if i see no change then i'll prime it. I'm a little anxious to start the sucker crop. It'll have to do better than the front patch did. Now that i dug the ditch out front the rows drain to the street.

Update, Today I found a 2" hornworm screaming the death cry between my fingers. Then I got to looking and found two more about an 1/8th" round trying to bogard two of my leaves. So I had to squish what I found and bust out the sprayer.

I've only found one hornworm all season, but the bud worms attacked me big time. It's amazing the amount of damage they can do if you spend two rainy days inside. They came out of nowhere all at once and just about chewed my YTB to the ground. It's hard to kill them with BT when it's raining every day. The grasshoppers have been bad also.

I have a little grasshopper damage also. The day before I found the 3 hornworms, I found 4 caterpillars on my Zimmer inside a rolled up edge of the leaf. They looked like bud worms but they rolled the edge of the leaf over, and the leaf wasn't eaten but the spot where the worm was, was see through (clear) and slimy. They died the true death also!

Today I'm going to stalk the really stunted plants that have flowered and are not bagged. With the appearance of some nice ground level suckers I'm hoping I can get a better sucker crop than the original crop was.Smiley-Praying.gif

The ground level suckers are coming along nicely, I decided to give the stunted plants a week being topped to maybe fatten up a bit. That Metacomet plant sure is a funny looking plant with it's round leaves. It looks different than all the other types. and my YTB is still looking like a pile of leaves on the ground.
